What kind of soil do I need?
If buying by the bag from a store, you will need soil that states it is for 'raised beds'. However, it is usually most cost-effective to make it yourself using a simple mix called "Mel's Mix". These specialty soils are usually not found in box stores. Visit your local community nurseries and garden specialty stores for higher quality products.
How much soil do I need?
You can type in the dimensions of your unit into this soil calculator. Most bags have the square foot listed on them.
Do you teach classes for kids?
Rarely, there have been classes during the warm seasons, but the kids have been busy as they have gotten older.
