If buying by the bag from a store, you will need soil that states it is for 'raised beds'. However, it is usually most cost-effective to make it yourself using a simple mix called "Mel's Mix". These specialty soils are usually not found in box stores. Visit your local community nurseries and garden specialty stores for higher quality products.
How much soil do I need?

Do you teach classes for kids?
Yes, these classes are limited and usually done by request for groups during the warm seasons. Mom is a Step-Up for students part-time tutor and direct pay provider. She loves teaching botany and entomology with carpentry and gardening hands-on experience.
